This Is the Year...

So, in less than 2 weeks, I'll officially be in my last high school year!  I feel so amazing and accomplished, its crazy.  Walking across the stage in that black and  gold is going to be even better.  I can't even imagine the feeling at this time.  This year when I watched some friends walk across the stage as Class of 2010, I kind of had these "flashfowards" [I can't think of a better word right now] of me and my class.  The best part about it was hearing our parents and peers cheer as we walk across the stage.

Gosh, I can't wait for this day to come!

Love The Way He Rhymes...

Wayne is the messiah... BLAH BLAH BLAH! Don't get me wrong, Wayne is cool and all. I listen to him no doubt but I am no "Waynehead".  There are definitely better rappers out there other than Lil Wayne.  Some people just need to open their eyes.  His own protégé, even though he kind of sold out to mainstream, is kind of better than him.  Anyway, Eminem is one of those rappers who could kill Lil Wayne.  He puts so much thought and life into what he spits, it's crazy.  What Em spits is his life!  People say he's crazy and he's got issues, so what?! Who doesn't in this messed up ass world?  Everyone's got issues, whether they're minor or major, they are still issues!  Eminem is one of the greatest in my opinion.

Anyway, this video is definitely a favorite now.  Em is coming back strong! Make sure you go check out that Recovery album.  It's worth it, I promise.

Will not be releasing in GS sizes.  Now I wish they hadn't grown on me like they did.  Jordan Brand is WRONG for that.  This is ultimately upsetting. :(  I especially love the heart on the side.  I know you OG heads hate it though.  You hate that an OG shoe is ruined by one little logo.  Oh well, I don't mind.  I grew up in the era of retros so little changes don't bother to much.  Let's continue to look at the gorgeousness of these things;

Reality Check

Let me do this before I lose my nerve or train of thought...

AHEM!

So I wasn't "lucky" to be mixed with Indian, Puerto Rican, Mexican, or some other kind of exotic mixture. I was lucky to be mixed with Caribbean. In other words, I'm full BLACK! I didn't get "picked" to be rich or wealthy for that fact. I got "picked" to do what I can and make do with what I have. What I have is the skill of work. I work hard to get what I get and make what I make. I'll be damned if I let you take that away from me when you feel the need to. I did NOT get the genes to have a big butt or humongous chest. My body is what it is. There will never be any reducing or enhancing anything that I have. I wasn't "blessed" with the best fashion sense, but I'm not going to whine and cry about it. I make do with what I have and buy what I love. I wear sneakers a lot because they're comfortable. Don't get me wrong, I can get up and go in heels, flats, sandals, etc. Most of the time though, I just want to be comfortable. If that's a problem with you, please please please give me the money so I can use it to buy what YOU like. Just because you think my wardrobe consists of only sneakers and jeans, doesn't mean I don't have anything else. I have plenty of skirts and dresses, I just feel the need to dress up EVERYDAY or ANY DAY for that matter, just to please someone else. Oh, and here's the BIG one; JUST BECAUSE I WEAR A LOT OF SNEAKERS AND JEANS, IT DOES NOT, I REPEAT, DOES NOT MAKE ME GAY! I've heard this a lot. Someone said the other day, if you were a tomboy as a child, you're most likely going to be gay. This is not true at all. I was one of the biggest tomboys; never played with Barbies and I liked to kick it with the guys. They always seemed to have more fun. Ending that, females are not my attraction in any sort of way, shape, and/or form.

The point is, this is life. No one is going to change that! Sure, you can change the way you live it or or change the way you view it, but you can't change life. It's a reality check. Some of you need to get your own reality in check.
